Our stay at the Norton Grange bungalow was simply unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views that surround the property. The picturesque scenery alone makes the visit worthwhile – it’s absolutely stunning and creates the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway.

The culinary experience at Norton Grange was equally impressive. They offer an authentic Sri Lankan menu that was a delight to our taste buds. Each dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor, making our meals something to look forward to every day. The service was impeccable; the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and dedicated to ensuring our stay was perfect. They really go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and happy.

The bathrooms, though a bit old-fashioned, added a charming touch to the bungalow. It felt like a step back in time, which added to the overall experience rather than detracting from it. They were well-maintained and spotless, so we had no complaints at all.

We hosted a reunion with my husband’s schoolmates at Norton Grange, and it couldn’t have been better. The atmosphere was perfect for reminiscing and creating new memories. The setting, combined with the excellent food and service, made it a truly special event.

If you want to fully experience the magic of Norton Grange, I highly recommend staying for more than one day. There’s so much to enjoy and appreciate that a longer stay is well worth it. It’s definitely worth every penny and more! We can’t wait to return.

The Glamp Sri lanka – Makola is a peaceful spot just 15 kilometers away from Colombo city. It offers beautiful views of the highway and green paddy fields.

One great thing about this place is the security cameras that keep an eye on things, making you feel safe. The owner is super friendly, which adds to the welcoming vibe.

The beds are really comfy, so you’ll get a good night’s sleep. While there’s no hot water, it’s not a big deal because the weather is warm anyway.

Overall, we had a great time during our two-night stay at The Glamp Sri Lanka – Makola. It’s a lovely place to unwind and enjoy some quiet time away from the city!

During our two-night stay at The Bird Nest from September 28-30, 2023, just 2.9 km away from Kandy’s bustling city center, we were immersed in the serene embrace of nature.
The warm and welcoming host made us feel at home from the start, adding a personal touch that made our vacation even more memorable.

One standout feature of The Bird Nest is the complimentary cooking facility. The clean rooms and city view enhanced our overall stay.

Though the basement floor bathrooms needed some renovations, they were functional and met our needs. The availability of hot water was a pleasant surprise, adding to our comfort.
Affordability is a hallmark of The Bird Nest, offering great value for the cozy and tranquil abode we enjoyed. It was a haven of peace, providing the perfect escape from our busy lives.

In conclusion, The Bird Nest in Hanthana is an amazing place, allowing guests to unwind in the lap of nature while remaining close to the heart of Kandy. The friendly host, complimentary cooking facilities, picturesque views, and pocket-friendly prices make this retreat a fantastic choice for those seeking a calm and rejuvenating getaway. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic or Sri Dalada Maligawa, (ශ්‍රී දළදා මාළිගාව) is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. The relic was historically held by Sinhalese kings. The temple of the tooth is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple and the relic.
